Iran Protests Trampled Human Rights

Teheran, Sep 3 (Prensa Latina) Iranian President Mahmud Ahmadineyad
slammed Monday the manipulation of the human rights by "arrogant
powers," and their political pressure.

In the opening ceremony in this capital of the Non-Aligned Movement
(NAM) Ministerial Meeting on Human Rights and Cultural Diversity, the
statesman also defended the Iranian decision to develop its nuclear
program with peaceful purposes.

"Teheran is an official member of the International Atomic Energy
Organization (IAEO) and has inked the Treaty on the Non Proliferation
of Nuclear Weapons," Ahmadineyad stated.

The politician said that the atomic file is closed for Iran, and most
countries have recognized its rights "only one or two countries have no
option but to assume this reality."

He said this country wants to produce atomic fuel "to put it at the
service of peace, its own welfare and that of all people," noted
Ahmadineyad.

Iran's President Thanks NAM for Support of Nuclear Program

Havana, Sept 3 (acn) The President of Iran, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, on
Monday slammed the use of the veto right of certain countries, and
specifically the U.S, to interfere in the nations' right to
self-determination, while thanking Cuba and NAM for its support of
Iran's nuclear program.

Speaking at the ministerial meeting of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) in
Teheran, the Islamic leader criticized the U.S' refusal to support the
use by Iran of nuclear energy with pacific aims; launching instead a
campaign against the country depriving the Iranian nation from its
inalienable rights.

Meanwhile, Ahmadinejad thanked the Malaysian prime minister, the Cuban
president, all friendly countries and the NAM members of the IAEA Board
of Governors for the support of Iran's nuclear program.

"The Iranian nation has acquired a nuclear fuel cycle and is ready to
share it with other countries under the IAEA supervision," he proposed.

He added, "The NAM meeting on human rights and cultural diversity is a
vital step towards the establishment of a justice-based international
legal system."
