Oliver Stone is back with another Film on Vietnam

By Willy Wright

Cubanow.- Oliver Stone will be the director of a United Artists film
titled Pinkville, which tells the story of a massacre by US troops
during the Vietnam War.

The film will reveal a mass execution by a US military unit of dwellers
of the My Lai village, in central Vietnam.

Pinkville is the fourth full-length film by Oliver Stone on the US war
on Vietnam. Stone's first three movies included Platoon, filmed in
1986, Born on the Fourth of July in 1989 and Heaven and Earth (1993).

The film's stars include Bruce Willis and Channing Tatum, with a
script by Nikko Alanne, and a United Artists budget of 40 million
dollars.

The My Lai massacre took place early in the morning of March 16, 1968,
as over 100 soldiers flocked into that town, in the Quang Ngai
Vietnamese province and murdered 350 civilians, most of them women,
children and senior citizens; but for years, the US Army tried to hide
the horrible crime.
