Angola Reinforces Relations with Cuba

Luanda--A top Angolan delegation, led by the Public Works minister,
Higinio Carneiro, including ambassador Mário Cabral, paid from August
23-27 an official visit to Cuba.

Boosting of the bilateral cooperation between Angola and Cuba and
studying new areas to encourage Cuban investments in Angola were the
main objectives of the visiting delegation to the Island, said a source
of the Angolan ambassador to that country.

During that period the delegation was received in audience by the
Vice-President of State Council and of the Cabinet, Raúl Castro Ruz.

The Angolan entourage also met with the head of Africa's department of
the Central Commission of the Cuban Party, Rodolfo Puente Ferro.

The delegation, led by Higino Carneiro, was also received by officials
of the Ministries of Tourism, Construction, Basic Industry, Sports,
Culture and Foreign Affairs.
