Analysis:

Bush Admin Trying to Prevent Torture Policy Coming to Light

Under the carefully selected heading "Guantanamo inmates to get
lawyers" BBC reports that

"Fourteen 'high-value' detainees held at the US military prison at
Guantanamo Bay are to be given access to lawyers.

"The prisoners include Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, alleged mastermind of
the 11 September, 2001 attacks against the US"

NOTE: Not "Bin Laden" as "Mastermind" It's long been known that Bin
Laden did not himself "mastermind" 9/11 but when Washington wants to
impose draconian laws at home or war for empire abroad they need an
official face to put it all on to maximize the scare tactics they hope
will allow them to ram through laws crushing freedom at home and to
advance their empire abroad..Hence the drumming about "Bin Laden"
whose disgusting Bush-like ideology that "civilian deaths are fine if
they advance my goals" doesn't change the fact that if Bin Laden were
to be killed tomorrow morning, the amount of terrorism faced by
Americans would not decrease one iota from the passing away of this
'spiritual leader' to those who commit such acts.

It has long been known [See 2002 article
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/middle_east/2244146.stm] that the details
of 9/11 were not even planned by Mohammed but by Mohammed Atta
himself in the US, who then communicated to Sheikh Mohammed and Ramzi
Binalshibh.

Atta told Sheikh Mohammed and Binalshibh on August 29 that the attack
would take place on 9/11 ** and of course got some kind of ok from
them..but leaders like Mohammed and Binalshibh and their 'management'
role was that of managing a very de-centralized network ...their
secondary role was then removed a step, though they are morally
culpable if these credible reports are true. In tertiary role was the
'spiritual leads' Bin LAden who was only informed by the secondary
folks (Sheikh Mohammed and Ramzi Binalshibh) on Sept 6 (again see
above 2002 BBC story)..Notice Bin Laden didn't select, or even tell
them the date..they told Bin Laden the date...and they were told by
the person who carried out most of the details of the planning with
his cell, Mohammed Atta.

But all of this needs to be brushed under the rug: Washington wants to
scare the public with a much over simplified view of a Grant Master of
Evil so we cower and think, "if we go along with more draconian laws
at home, and more war abroad, maybe we'll finally get that Bin Laden
fellow and THEN we'll be safe" and it's easy to see how such fairy
tales are useful to Washington.

The current article [http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/7018471.stm]
of Sept 28 2007 makes a fairly naked statement about how 'high value
detainees" held at Guantanamo like Khalid Sheikh Mohammed "ave not
had access to lawyers in the year they have been at Guantanamo nor
while previously held in CIA jails."

BBC adds, "According to the Washington Post newspaper, US officials
had argued against allowing the 14 access to lawyers without special
 security precautions."

Bush Administration officials "argued in court papers 'that
attorney-client conversations could reveal classified elements of the
CIA's secret detention programme and its controversial interrogation
tactics'"

When you talk to friends, co-workers and family, point out what
exactly these words mean: communication by those held in the dungeon
at Guantanamo with lawyers could LET THE OUTSIDE WORLD (INCLUDING
AMERICANS) KNOW thing that the Bush Admin WANTS TO HIDE (things that
they want to be "classified eleemnts") about perversions of law and
human rights (to the point of false confessions so our true
Intelligence is actually hurt) via i.e., elementr of the "secret
detention program" And they also want to hide from Americans, from
their own citizens they supposedly are helping, they want to hide from
us also "element of..[the Bush Administration's]" torture and other
abominations, a.k.a. elements of the Bush admin's "controversial
interrogation tactics" (notice "techniques" would have been too
obvious a word, so they made it a more bureauctratic sounding word,
"tactics").

Spread the word...

** Footnote: This was done using a "riddle" and coded words to
represent a cake two sticks with a description visually suggesting,
after some thought, a "9 1 1 ", as a google for the 2002 interviews
with Binalshibh and Sheikh Mohammed by the same Yosri Fouda cited in
the above BBC article, reveals -- so all the freedom-busting laws
proposed by Bush would not have prevented this type of coded
communication -- though on the other hand, actually ending
Washington's bombing of civilians and support for human rights abusers
and dictators as bad or even far worse than Iran -- who are
dishonestly described as 'moderate' (think Saudi Arabia and Qatar and
UAE and others -- in Saudi Arabia women cannot do something Iran's
women can do: drive a car..) would actually do a lot to diminish the
occurence of such terror events. Of course we are told extremists
would still want to commit terror: true enough, no matter how much we
reduce Washington's immoral and murderous policies abroad, there would
be _some_ extremists out to get Washington...and some Americans
targetted, but far, far fewer. Even Denmark and Scandinavian countries
have to worry about terror -- but how comparing how much terror is
planned against countries with a less imperialist foreign policy than
those against the US (or other smaller Hegemons like Russia in
Chechnia) makes it clear that more than 95% of the problem is our
"leaders" having policies that daily and weekly create new enemies and
create new extremists, due to their own "extreme" lust for empire.
