Peru's Humala Honors Che Guevara
Lima, Oct 8 (Prensa Latina) Ollanta Humala, leader of Peru's NP
Party (Nacionalista Peruano), said that Ernesto Che Guevara is an
example of the struggle for a new social order for Latin America, in an
interview made Monday.
Humala reflected to Prensa Latina, on the 40th anniversary of
Che Guevara's last fight in the Bolivian mountains, which is occupying
much space in the media today.
"Che was an example of a revolutionary life dedicated to
justice and the values of the people. He is one of the men who fought
for a better society and social justice," he stated.
Humala, a presidential candidate in the last Peruvian
elections, stressed Che's sense of justice, his capacity for work and
his intellect, and said his example will continue conquering the hearts
of exploited and alienated people.
He assured that PNP honors the memory of Che Guevara, his
social and revolutionary commitment, which was evident Friday, in the
celebration of the second anniversary of PNP, with young militants
carrying portraits of Che Guevara in the activity.
Our party honors Che Guevara, Cuban National Hero Jose Marti
and Nicaraguan revolutionary leader Augusto Cesar Sandino, because they
are also a part of the history of Latin America, he concluded.
