Fidel Castro and Hugo Chavez Hold Talks in Havana

Havana, Oct 13 (acn)  Cuban President Fidel Castro and his Venezuelan 
counterpart Hugo Chavez Frias held talks for over four hours  in Havana 
on Saturday.

Both heads of state  exchanged on the history of Cuba and Venezuela, 
the solid and increasing bilateral relations between both countries, 
the current situation in Latin America and the challenges facing 
humankind.

In their conversation, Fidel Castro and Hugo Chavez dedicated a special 
moment to talk about Cuban-Argentinean guerrilla fighter Ernesto Che 
Guevara, about his heroic life and his revolutionary principles. On 
Sunday, the Venezuelan President will air his TV and radio program "Alo 
Presidente" from the city of Santa Clara, in the Cuban central province 
of Villa Clara, from where Chavez will pay tribute to Che Guevara.  The 
TV show will be transmitted live at 11:00 a.m. on Cuban international 
channel Cubavision, and on Radio Havana Cuba, plus other local  Cuban 
channels. President Hugo Chavez arrived in Havana early on Saturday and 
he was welcomed at Havana?s Jose Marti International Airport by Cuban 
Vice-president Carlos Lage and by Foreign Minister Felipe Perez Roque .
