Oct. 26, 2007: Silent March

Oct. 27, 2007: Ottawa Walk Against War Profiteers 

Our friends in Ottawa are organizing two events for the Pan-Canadian
day of action. On Friday the 26th of  October there will be a silent
march to  Parliament Hill that will pass by some  of Canada's biggest
defence industries  such as Raytheon, L-3 Communications,  BAE Systems
and SAIC Canada. Not surprisingly, there are lots of defence industry
offices within just a few blocks of Parliament.

CANADA OUT OF AFGHANISTAN, 

SPOTLIGHT ON THE MERCHANTS OF DEATH

SILENT WALK TO OTTAWA'S WAR PROFITEERS

Parliament Hill, Ottawa 

Their influence shapes Canada's foreign  policies, yet they hide in the
shadows.  They are the homegrown war profiteers  that are hiding in our
back yard. Join a silent walk - and bring your flashlight - to shine a
spotlight on these merchants of  death.

South Korea: The Korean Anti-war movement is joining us for the
October  27 day of action. Despite the negotiation  that ended the
Korean Hostage crisis in Afghanistan, there are still hundreds of
Korean soldiers deployed. The Korean government has also been asked
to  increase and extend the mission of its troops in Iraq. 

These are their demands:

* No Extension of Korean Troops Dispatched to Iraq 

* End the Occupations of Iraq and Afghanistan 

* Bring Koreans Troops from Lebanon 

* Don't Attack Iran 

* No to Korea-US War Alliance
