Iranian President Calls Mideast Conference a Ploy

Tehran, Oct 22 (Prensa Latina) Iranian President Mahmud Ahmadinejad
said on Monday that the international conference on the Middle East,
sponsored by the US, is a ruse of Israel.

In a meeting with his cabinet, the Persian head of government
recommended the nations of the region to keep alert and suspicious on
the meeting, IRNA news agency reported.

The time when some believe that Israel-Palestine conflict could be
solved through talks has gone, noted Ahmadineyad, it will only be
solved with the presence and prominent role of Palestinians.

Decisions taken without consulting the Palestinian people will neither
solve anything, nor will provide them any benefit, said Ahmadineyad.

The Iranian leader said that the enemies of Palestine just try to
weaken the resistance spirit of the population.

He said that the Palestinian issue calls the world attention and those
who have created the Israeli regime and support it have the right to
neither interfere for seeking solutions nor play the role of mediators.
