France Hosts Ho Chi Minh Exhibition
Havana, Oct 22 (acn) The "Ho Chi Minh in Paris" exhibition, which
includes more than 100 items and documents, which belonged to the
Vietnamese leader, is open at the Montreuil Museum of History in France
from October 20 to December 30.
The exhibition shows two important phases in President Ho's
revolutionary career during his time in France, including the period
from 1919 to 1920 when he struggled to make his way to France in the
hope of finding a way to free his country from colonial chains.
The exhibition also looks at the period up to 1946 when he led a
Vietnamese delegation to the Fontainebleau convention, reports VNA news
agency.
Historian Alain Ruscio said Ho Chi Minh is a symbol of the desire for
national independence and the struggles against colonialism.
"President Ho was among the first people to take the lead in the
world's colonial movements and his name has gone into the histories of
not only Viet Nam and France, but of the whole world," Ruscio said.
The "Ho Chi Minh in Paris " exhibition is part of the celebrations for
the 7th France-Viet Nam cooperation meeting to be held from
October 22-23 in Montreuil, east of Paris.
