Cuba, South Africa to Hold Joint Commission Meeting

Havana, Nov 5 (acn) The 5th South Africa-Cuba Joint Bilateral
Commission beginning November 8 will address progress made in the areas
of collaboration agreements and possible future co-operation actions
between the two countries.

The meeting will be co-chaired by South African Foreign Minister
Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma and Cuba's Minister for Foreign Investment and
Economic Collaboration, Marta Lomas Morales. It will take place at the
Arabella Sheraton Hotel in Cape Town.

South African foreign minister Dlamini-Zuma told the local media that
the meeting is expected to consolidate bilateral political and economic
relations, noting that this is one of the country's current priorities.

"The 5th session of the joint bilateral commission will serve to review
and assess Cuba's assistance to South Africa in addressing its skilled
worker shortages and human resource challenges," said Dlamini-Zuma.
