IberoAmerican Pre-Summit Meetings Begin in Chile

Havana, Nov 6 (acn) National coordinators and cooperation supervisors
from 22 countries met Monday in Santiago de Chile prior to the 17th
IberoAmerican Summit that officially gets underway November 8.

At the inauguration of the Third Meeting of National Coordinators and
Cooperation Supervisors, IberoAmerican General Secretary Enrique
Iglesias said that meetings will seek to fine tune the documents to be
signed by IberoAmerican leaders later this week, reported Granma
newspaper.

Iglesias said that the main document of this year's summit will be the
Santiago Declaration, which will be signed by the presidents of the
member countries on Saturday.

The National Coordinators and Cooperation Supervisors will also discuss
the Santiago Action Program, which will set up community cooperation
accords related to social cohesion.
