International Meeting on Corruption Wraps Up in Cuba

Havana, Oct 9 (acn) The Fourth International Meeting on Corruption, 
bringing together some 400 legal experts from 21 countries, will wrap 
up Friday in Havana.

During the last day of the forum, experts will exchange experiences on 
the challenges faced by contemporary society in the fight against 
corruption.

The formation of ethical values as an antidote against corruption and
the measures implemented to prevent and detect fraud and corruption were
also key topics in the agenda.

President of the Cuban Parliament's Commission on Foreign Affairs
Osvaldo Martinez stressed the evident relation between corruption and
neoliberal policies.

The meeting is sponsored by the Cuban General Prosecutor's Office, the
Institute for Legal Development and Research, and the National
Association of Cuban Economists and Accountants.
