Cuba and Ecuador Signed Cultural Agreement

Havana, Nov 13 (acn) Cuba's Culture Minister Abel Prieto described as a 
valuable working tool a recent cultural agreement signed by his country 
and Ecuador during the 3rd International Book Fair (FILVEN 2007), 
underway in Venezuela.

After penning the accord, Ecuador's Culture Minister Antonio Preciado 
underlined the significance of the action, since it is a way to get the 
rich experience of Cuba in the field of culture.

On Monday, Cuba's National Literature Laureate poet Cesar Lopez 
presented an anthology, while essayist Enrique Ubieta launched his book 
titled "Venezuela Rebelde" and a compilation of interviews in 
audiovisual format made by the Cuban Film Institute.

FILVEN 2007 pays homage to Venezuelan writer Laura Antillano and to 
Latin American independence heroes Jose Marti and Simon Bolivar.
