Venezuela Discusses Its Reform Abroad
Caracas, Nov 13 (Prensa Latina) Venezuelan diplomats are promoting
debates on the implications of the draft constitutional reform to be
subject to a referendum on December 2, the country's Foreign Ministry
reported.
The Venezuelan Embassy in Japan is carrying out a drive to increase
public awareness about the scope of the proposal of changes proposed by
President Hugo Chavez to facilitate the country's transition to
socialism.
At the Annual Congress of the Committee of Solidarity of Japan, Asia,
Africa and Latin America, chief of the mission to Tokyo, Seiko
Ishikawa, lectured on the initiative in several cities.
In Argentina, Venezuelan Ambassador Arevalo Mendez attended a forum at
Buenos Aires University Social Sciences Department, where he spoke
about ongoing changes in his country.
Meanwhile Alejandro Fleming, Caracas representative to Belgium and
Luxemburg, met with legislators, leaders of political parties and
groups of solidarity, informing them about the way the Venezuelan
people are perfecting Chavez's proposal through street
parliamentarianism and discussions within the National Assembly.
