Cuba Thanks Argentineans for Their Solidarity

Havana, Dec 13 (acn) Jose Ramon Fernandez, Vice President of the Cuban 
Council of Ministers, thanked on Wednesday the Argentinean people for 
their solidarity with Cuba and with the revolutionary process that is 
underway on the island.

Speaking to hundreds of people who packed the Cuba-Argentina Friendship 
House in Buenos Aires on Wednesday, Fernandez also thanked Argentineans 
for regarding the efforts and achievements of the Cuban Revolution as 
their own.

During the solidarity rally, organized by the Argentinean Movement in 
Solidarity with Cuba (MASCUBA), Fernandez urged participants to double 
their actions in favor of the release of the five Cuban anti-terrorist 
fighters who remain unjustly imprisoned in the United States and 
against the almost-forty-year-old US economic blockade of the island.

The Cuban high-ranking official traveled last Saturday to Argentina 
heading the island's delegation to the swearing-in ceremony of 
President Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner on Monday, December 10th.
