Cuban Trade Minister for Enhanced Economic Relations with Brazil

Havana, Dec 13(acn) Cuba's Minister of Overseas Trade, Raul de la Nuez 
praised the advancement in bilateral relations achieved during the 2nd 
Cuba-Brazil Intergovernmental commission closing Thursday in Brasilia.

The Cuban Minister told Prensa Latina news agency that the cooperation 
accords were revised on Wednesday and will be signed by the commission 
today.

De la Nuez is fulfilling a parallel agenda of interviews in Brazil. In 
a meeting with the Health Minister Jose Gomes Temporao, the two 
Ministers talked about the current rate of export of bio-technology 
products and discussed projects for the exchange of technologies.

In a meeting with the President of the Bank of Brazil Antonio Francisco 
de Lima Neto, the two high ranking officials revised the current state 
of the credits granted by this bank for the purchase of Brazilian 
goods, mainly food. According to De La Nuez, it was agreed that Cuba 
will be able to use part of the credit which is not taken up this year 
during the first trimester of 2008.
