Libyan leader Visits Spain

Madrid, Dec 17 (Prensa Latina) Libyan leader Moammar Gadhafi Monday
began his first official visit to Spain since he assumed his post of
head of State in 1969, aimed at signing various investment and
migration agreements.

Gadhafi arrived in Spain on Saturday from France, but spent the first
two days on a private visit to the cities of Seville and Malaga.

During his stay in Paris, he sealed business deals with the French
government.

While in Madrid, the Libyan leader will hold talks with President Jose
Luis Rodriguez Zapatero, King Juan Carlos and business representatives.

On Tuesday, Gadhafi will visit Madrid's Town Hall and National Congress
Headquarters.

According to a report from the Spanish government, cooperation or
association between Libya an the European Union are expected to be
studied at the bilateral talks
