Happy Birthday Peace Symbol


We have launched a new website to celebrate the 50th anniversary of
Gerald Holtom's peace symbol.

First designed in 1958, Holtom's symbol is globally recognised as a
symbol for peace activism, and was also adopted in the UK by the
Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament.

Our site accompanies a book, "Peace: 50 Years of Freedom," which we have
produced for publishers in the UK and US (due to come out later this
year). The main focus of the site is an online gallery where visitors
are invited to upload their own versions of Holtom's symbol.

We already have quite a few ­ including the odd celebrity ­ but it
would be great to get some more.
